Nothing: Pcod is the old term for what is now called pcos. The word disease was changed to the word syndrome to better describe the situation. Having polycystic ovaries is not a disease but rather a description of a group of symptoms like weight gain, irregular periods, abnormal hair growth, lack of ovulation, acne and prediabetes. Weight loss can inactivate the hormonal processes causing it.
