Spinal fluid : In contrast to a meningocele, which is a spinal fluid collection covered by dura that extends beyond the normal areas, a pseudomeningocele is spinal fluid not covered by dura. It is typically a result of surgery on the spine, where the covering (dura) was opened, intentionally or unintentionally. Unless it produces headaches, or is draining thru the skin, the pseudomenigocele is left alone.
