Im 55 yrs old and never had a colonoscpy yet is there an easier test to take the preparation the day before scares me.

What are you asking?: Are you asking for an alternative colon screening modality--there are several (fecal dna testing, ct colonography, air contrast barium enema plus sigmoidoscopy, etc.). Any look at the colon will however require a preparation, but the only colon test that permits therapeutics through the entire colon (e.g. Removal of detected polyps) rather than just a diagnostic look, is in fact a colonoscopy.
