Yes: Excellent first choice. The redness is to be expected at the beginning; you may reduce dose or frequency. If you are not clear in two weeks, or you find benzoyl peroxide too rough for yourself, your personal physician may be able to help -- though i bet you'll be good in two weeks. Best wishes.
