My 7 months isn't sitting on his own yet, is something wrong?

Sitting: The official age for the "sitting on their own" milestone is 7 months. I typically give my patients a little more time (but only a little) as long as every other aspect of their growth, development, and examination are normal. You'll have to consult with your pediatrician on this one. If your child doesn't reach this milestone soon, you'll need to start services (usually physical therapy) right aw.

Probably not.: Developmental milestones are quite variable; some may be early, others late. Follow routinely with your doctor to assure that the little tike is on track.
