Probably normal: Check with your provider about specific concerns. Most of the expressed (non-bloody) discharge is normal. Pinkish and/or bloody nipple discharge is never normal and should be evaluated asap.

A 39-year-old member asked:
Having slight colourless-yellowish discharge from the right breast. Should I be worried?

Maybe: Most d/c is being/physiologic. The most concerning is a unilateral (1 duct from 1breast), spontaneous, bloody d/c. Even this is usually related to an underlying benign introduction papilloma but usually indicates intervention. If concerned or d/c persists, seek further attention including consultation with a breast surgeon.
