Yes: Sometimes a woman can miscarry without actually missing a period, since you didn't mention your period, i'm going to assume this might be the case with your question. Blood clots can mean miscarriage, can also mean excess estrogen or excess progesterone. Back pain often accompanies when there is a lot of blood going through the cervix or passage of clots.
