Hiatal Hernia: Hiatal hernias can come and go, get better (especially with weight loss), and can get worse (with time and age, weight gain, increased abdominal pressure). They can cause acid reflux, feeling full early, chest pain and even feeling short of breath). Good luck.

Yes: Hiatal hernias can get larger, but if it is going to happen, there is nothing you can do about it. These are common, and most don't enlarge, regardless of activity level. Additionally, they typically take years to enlarge to the point of causing symptoms or posing a threat of the stomach twisting. Hope this helps!
