Where's your groan?: By 'groan' do you mean groin? If it's truly in groin (primarily the inner upper thigh near the pubic area), then you probably have tinea cruris (jock itch) in which case Diflucan (fluconazole) won't work; you need a topical antifungal cream. But if you're talking about vaginal itching, then you might have a yeast infection (candidiasis), which can be treated with diflucan (fluconazole).
