A member asked:

What causes your heart rate to go up when laying down but stays normal when sitting/standing ? hist:htn&pcos provera&lisinoprilhctz 203lbs female 17yr

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Too much fluid: When you lay down, the extra fluid tends to gravitate into the chest and the heart has to work more to pump the fluid. When you stand fluid tends to shift toward the abdomen and legs.
