Tenesmus: The symptom of such burning and feeling of need to defecate and inability to pass bm may represent multiple things, but most likely an ongoing inflammation in the rectum or anus. In addition your upper GI symptoms are also worrisome. Have you been treated with budesonide? Why? Consult your GI doc asap. You may need further eval.
