No antibodies: Nicotine is too small a molecule to stimulate antibody production so allergic antibody mediated reactions to nicotine aren't possible. Nicotine patches can produce contact allergies mostly due to chemicals in the adhesives. Inhaled (snuff) or chewed tobacco products can produce allergic antibodies and allergic reactions, due to large molecules in the tobacco leaves.
