Hip alignment: The hip joint is very mobile, as it is a ball-in-socket joint. Therefore, it can accommodate a wide range of motion and is less likely to be "out of alignment". Muscle imbalance or soft-tissue tightness may make the hip feel stiff or out of alignment. Stretching and strengthening and PT can often resolve this. Spine curvature or knee malalignment may also affect the way a hip feels.
