Yes: Perimenopause can start up to 9 years before your period stops for good. The changing hormones can lead to mood changes (including tearfulness) and anxiety. However, if it is interfering with any of your relationships or your work, be sure to talk to your doctor. We have lots of great strategies.

Yes : If you're having a lot of anxiety and depression in addition to hormonal instability, sounds like u could benefit from a talk with your doctor. Some antidepressants are useful in the peri menopausal period for the symptoms you describe. Talk first, make sure that's what is going on. Hang in there !

Yes: Yes, it is very possible. Fluctuations in your hormones can cause the symptoms you described. Also, it could be from primary depression, anxiety which should not be overlooked. Please see a physician for further evaluation.
