My knee hurts, i haven't recently injured it. but it swells, pain goes from dull and achey to sharp. sometimes i get a burning sensation and it pops.

see details: Your have an inflammatory arthritis especially if there has been no recent trauma. There are numerous causes. Have a rheumatologist evaluate the issue. The knee should be aspirated if fluid is present.
