Yes, as prescribed: This may be what your system needs. You can try cognitive therapy couple with a taper over 6 months to a year, but in the end you have a right to feel good. No med changes though without talking to your physician. Realize that while almost everybody is helped by psychotherapy, it does not always cure a person. We don't stop the Insulin on most diabetics just because they have adhered slavishly to diet and exercise. Neither should we stop Klonopin (clonazepam) on everybody who has been through a treatment program unless there is evidence that it has cured them. Talk to your psychiatrist about this insuch terms and if he or she is unwilling to treat you with Klonopin (clonazepam) and if you have never abused Klonopin (clonazepam) then i would recommend that you find someone who will provide it for you, namely another psychiatrist.

cannot just stop: Clonazepam is a medicine that your body gets used to, you cannot simply stop taking it and try something else. First, most other meds for anxiety take longer to work; and second, Clonazepam must be tapered very slowly and gradually once you find something else that helps. So talk to your doctor about how to go about making a change from Clonazepam to something else for your anxiety.
