What happens to me if all or nearly all of my testosterone is removed?

Dr. Alvin Lin answered

Hypogonadism: I was looking to see if you had prostate cancer since that is typically the reason why men will purposely have their testosterone level lowered, typically via shots. If reduction is gradual, you may not notice anything. If it's dramatic, you may report decrease in energy, mood ; cognitive function; loss of muscle mass, increase in body fat, decrease in sex drive, bone loss, etc. Talk to your doc.
