Not quite, but...: Amoxicillin may eradicate some UTI-causing germs like enterococcus faecalis, streptococcal infection, etc. but is not a good choice such as nitofurantoin, Bactrim, Cipro, (ciprofloxacin) Levaquin, etc. Usually a 3-day course is sufficient for common recurrent UTIs in females. If often recurring, be checked for possible underlying causes such as stone, obstruction, incomplete bladder emptying, etc. So, no cure...
