A member asked:

My fsh was checked without having my period cycle. is this result accurate?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Your fsh is a measurement of your ovarian reserve. Basically, an approximation as to whether you are not in menopause, close to menopause or in menopause, not to mention it's used to assess likelihood of fertility or being able to conceive. Often when women miss their periods for longer than a few months, doctors worry about premature menopause, which at 36, would hurt your bones if true.
