Ingrown hair: A bump in a hair-bearing area can be an "ingrown-hair" or cyst. They usually show a tender bump that could be red in color.

Bacterial infection?: It could be a small bacterial infection or ingrown hair. Use warm soaks several times a day and see a doctor if it gets worse. This shaving trend worries me. Besides making people look like jail-bait, it can increase the risk of bacterial infections, including mrsa. I've seen some nasty cases in which men lost parts of their body they wanted to keep. If you don't like pubes, trim, don't shave!
