Depends: In order to give you a more informed answer would need more information. You say you have discomfort for the past month. If there was no significant precipitating event, then likely you are experiencing muscle spasm radiating up and down the spine. The location of the narrowing (50-70%) depends on the location in the spine to say how serious it is for you.
