Usually Ok: The two medications can be used together. Every person's system is slightly different, and of course when mixing medications we always have to use a little extra caution. I have a number of patients who have been successfully treated with both medicines together.

Hastens metabolism : Tegretol is an enzyme inducer which means that it causes metabolism of other drugs to occur at higher rate. Lamictal is one of the medications it affects. Thus the lam ictal level in your body should be very low on just 100 mg daily. Another possible interaction is increases side effects like dizziness, loss of balance due to sodium channel modulating mechanisms of both drugs.
