Rosacea: Alcohol is a common trigger for the flushing that is the hallmark of rosacea. Certain prescription medications, such as low-dose doxycycline, may reduce the flushing somewhat, but the only sure way to avoid alcohol-induced flushing is to avoid drinking alcohol.
