A member asked:

I don't drink often because i turn bright red. is there a medicine to counteract the redness?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Rosacea: Alcohol is a common trigger for the flushing that is the hallmark of rosacea. Certain prescription medications, such as low-dose doxycycline, may reduce the flushing somewhat, but the only sure way to avoid alcohol-induced flushing is to avoid drinking alcohol.
