How long will it take to get rid of a lice infestation with rubbing alcohol?

Lice infestation: Alcohol may help loosen the lice and hte nits sometimes, but hte easiest way to do that is apply petroleum jelly and cover it up with a shower capand leave iton for 12-18 hours and then have funn washing it off! even though it is time consuming to wash it off, it is a safe and non toxic way to loosen the lice nad nits.The petroleum jelly suffocates the lice.

Unlikely to help: Once the lice sense water or a toxic material they can hibernate without breathing for 18 hours. Unless you use prescription benzyl alcohol,a special alcohol designed for this use, you are unlikely to succeed. Daily washing with a stout pickling vinegar will loosen the eggs, and may kill some lice, but you may need to invest in a Rx or OTC product.
