A member asked:

Can you herniate discs from falling a large drop and landing on your feet/butt?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes there are many: Potential mechanisms but there is a physiologic overloading of a disc that leads to its herniation which is dependent on the integrity of the disc, the body's position and the load placed and how that load is applied along with the underlying conditioning of the person.
