"Herpes is Forever": There was an ironic quip that while love may fade..... It has no cure but some symptom relief is possible. It simply goes into ; out of remissions throughout life. Stress - physical or emotional can bring it out of retirement - general good health can keep it at rest. When you see your doctor, ask for guidance on managing it but definitely use condoms always but especially when sores are present.
