Maybe, but I doubt it. It is from a viral family well known to persist in the body hiding in a dormant state from the immune system with occasional breakout/infectious periods. It is from the virus family that causes shingles, another breakout condition. There is hope, but it may take a while.

If you have herpes 1/2, why is it possible to spread it to other parts of your body if your immune system already has antibodies for both viruses? Does this not act as a vaccine to prevent other places? Or does immunity wane and u can spread?
