Bad odor: Try irrigating out the nose. Is there any colored drainage to suggest an infection? If so you will need an antibiotic for 3 to 4 wks. If not, distorted smells need to be worked up by the ENT locally. He or she will look up your nose to check it then order a ct with contrast to rule out anything in the olfactory areas of the brain. Good luck.
