An irregular beat...: Arrhythmia is a generic term to describe n abnormality in the heart's rhythm. It may be very benign "extra" beats, to a sustained abnormal heart rhythm. If you have specific concerns about an arrhythmia see your pcp or a cardiologist. Thee are many new treatments available.
