Do not recommended: The detergent used in the dishwasher could get inside the brush. That is no good for your health. If better that you get an electronic sanitized to sterilize it. Change the toothbrush more often, like every month.

Nat a bad idea: Just make sure it;s thoroughly rinsed after cleaning. Best idea is to change your toothbrush if the bristles begin to fray, but no less often than every 3 months. Should also change brush if you have a cold so that you don't reinfect yourself.
