I have to get several root canals. i've heard they can cause cancer and all kinds of other ailments. i'm worried.

Hogwash!: Root canals, when done properly, are not not only safe, predictable, and the most conservative treatment for treating diseased pulps and abscesses, but are also a great value! all root canals performed by endodontists are based on evidenced based research. Materials are fda approved, and techniques are all research based. Any info you get disparaging root canals simply can't make those claims!
