Rib pain treatments: You did not state if the pain was in the chest wall, area or the back; but will try to assist. Pulling a rib may be either muscular or a torsion at the attachment sights. If the former, topical, or oral nsaids are best with ice rubs beneficial too. If posterior, manipulation to replace the rotation works well. As well as the prior treatment. If this is a recurring problem , work up, is needed.
