A member asked:

When you cut your eyelashes, does that really make them grow longer?

No: The portion of a hair or an eyelash that is outside of the skin is not alive, so it doesn't know if it has been cut. An eyelash does not know whether it is cut or not. It does not grow any faster if it is cut.
