Possibly: It sounds like the tube that equalizes pressure in the middle ear is sluggish. That means you may have trouble with the pressure changes. No problem with the flying, it is the landing that might really hurt. If you must fly, try some sudafed before you board. Then sniff a littl afrin (oxymetazoline) while airborne and chew some gum. Keep some pain pills handy just in case.....

Hard to say...: If forced to fly in a situation where there is a possible eustachian problem i recommend that my patients use a topical decongestant prior to flying and bring a small caliber straw to drink through if they develop a pressure. Be prepared to equalize ear pressure.
