Could be hyperopia: This could be a symptom of latent or "uncovered" hyperopia. This occurs as a person ages and is particularly evident around age 40. It can only be accurately identified by dilating and putting the pupils and ciliary muscles at rest and then checking your refractive error for glasses. See an ophthalmologist.
