Adicts: The addiction causes an overwhelming craving in the mind and body of the addict, which is so compelling that the addict will do anything to get what he is craving. Everyone is different so that various treatments may be effective for one and not for the other. It is difficult for an addict to self treat and almost always requires professional care to get well.
