Follow directions: Follow your dentist's directness for whitening your teeth. The length of time you need to use the gel will vary with the strength of the gel. But generally you can wear the trays with the gel for30-60 minutes.Remember to remove any excess. Excess gel can irritate your gum tissues.

Teeth whitening: This type of question should be directed to the dentist who either supplied you with the tooth whitening gel\kit or advised you regarding which one to use. If you purchased the gel\kit on your own, well? There are lots of considerations when selecting the whitening method to use, ; lots of precautions and limitations as well. Nothing can replace individual professional guidance on this subject!

1 week: A lot depends on the strength of the carbamide gel. Over the counter carbamide is much weaker than the carbamide provided at the dentist's office.
