Several possibls: Without doing an exam and seeing the x-ray it leaves too much to speculate about.This could be a mild viral process or a true pneumonia. The primary ordering the x-ray has more data to work with and should provide the diagnosis and plan for treatment.

Most likely she has pneumonia. Lab testing may include a CBC differential and platelets, as well as markers such as CRP. Ensure that the quality of the Chest Image is acceptable.
