Psychiatrists: All these types of psychiatrists are familiar with treating adhd and ocd. But your age of 18 would be on the border between adolescence and adult. Both geriatric and adolescent psychiatrists have additional subspecialty fellowship training beyond general psychiatry -- an add-on to the initial 4 year residency program. You could see a general adult or adolescent psychiatrist.
