Herpes: The more we learn about herpes it seems that the less we know. Those infected with herpes shed virus at the area of skin of their infection. They shed virus at unpredictable rates and times. There is no test to determine where one is infected or shedding and there is no test to determine the rate of viral shedding. Thus there is no valid answer to your question. But, infected humans need to know.
