Thing Moving Fast!: In an early fetus of 7-8wks the heart is inside the fetal chest and shows a rapid flickering of about 130 beats a minute. As the fetus grows, more of the heart anatomy becomes visible and it is possible to see motion of the 4 cardiac chambers. Ask the sonologist to point out the heart.
