Protein ; nitrates: Protein is normally not found in urine. Nitrate can be normally found in urine. It results from protein breakdown. System used to quantify protein is 0, trace, and then 1+ to 4+. So there is a source of protein in the urine and the meaning of this needs to be looked at with any other lab abnormalities, signs/symptoms, clinical context. Follow up with your doctor for any further eval/treatment.
