Leukoplakia: Leukoplakia is merely a description of a thickened, white patch. It usually is not dangerous but can lead to other serious lesions. If you smoke or drink heavily, stop! as this increases the danger. If small, it can be excised off and biopsied. Make sure you see and oral surgeon regularly to monitor these areas, and treat if necessary.
