Menses: When you first begin your period, you may have irregular cycles with varying amounts of flow. Sometimes your period may come every month, sometimes every 2-3 months, sometimes 2-3 weeks with spotting in between. This is normal within the first year or so as your hormones are adjusting themselves. You should see a doctor if you are still experiencing irregular periods >1 year.
