See below: Scabies is treated with a topical scabicide such as 5% permethrin. It is applied over the entire body from the chin to the toes and left on for 8 to 14 hours before washing off. The treatment is repeated 1 week later. After your first Permethrin treatment you can try calamine lotion or solarcaine to the areas that itch for symptomatic relief. You are cured after the 2nd Permethrin treatment.
