Yes......: Coughing can result in musculoskeletal pain, including sternal pain. But, if the sternal pain is present when you're not coughing, it could be heart-related which requires an er visit. If musculoskeletal, it will improve once your cough resolves so see your doc for cough treatment. If you smoke, you need to quit asap!
