A member asked:

Can i take cold medicine and ambien (zolpidem) together?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Usually Okay: Ambien (zolpidem) can be taken with most over the counter cold remedies. Caution should be exercised with products that cause drowsiness which may be worse with the use of a sleep aid. Also it is not advised to use Ambien (zolpidem) and alcohol based liquid meds such as nyquil for example. Always use caution when driving or activities that require full alertness when on these products.
