at what age can a baby sleep with a blanket?

Talk to pediatrician: The best thing to do is to talk to your pediatrician about this. There are different philosophies about blankets. Somewhere between 12 and 24 months is generally accepted. Your doctor will be more specific for your baby.

I consider kids who can pull to stand and cruise as mobile enough not to suffocate in their bedding. For most this is at a year.

How will co-sleeping influence my baby's ability to sleep through the night?

More difficult: Co-sleeping babies do tend to wake more, perhaps because mom and baby are quicker to hear and react to each other, but also because it's quick and easy for mom to nurse. If independent sleep is a top priority for you, co-sleeping may not be the way to go.

Is it safe to let our cat sleep with our baby?

Dr. Sharon Gillilandanswered

No: It is dangerous to let your cat sleep with your baby for several reasons. Cats can get jealous, just like small children, and may exhibit behaviors which are out of character. Cats can carry germs which may make your baby sick. Your cat may smother the baby without even realizing it.

How can I get my baby on a healthy sleep schedule?

Dr. Nanette Nuessleanswered

Sleep Hygeine: To get a child on a good sleep schedule, we have to look at both bedtime and wake-up time. Toddlers, children and even teens need a bedtime routine that includes having all electronics out of the bedroom. Reading before sleep is the best way to unwind. They also need to get up at the same time every morning, 7 days a week. Even if they had a difficult, fussy night.

How old : Is your baby? What have you done yourself? How many people are involved in the care of your baby? Are you preparing formula correctly? Oftentimes parents increase volume without adding milk in proportion to water making it more dilute, baby is starving , hence crying and won't sleep, constantly eating and not gaining weight.Formula fed or breast fed? I'd like to help, need more info. Tnx.
