A member asked:

Are the plastic bags for storing breast milk ok or do they leech molecules?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unsafe: If they contain these chemicals-bisphenol a(bpa) and phthalates. They have been linked to numerous health problems in babies eg cancer, endocrine disruption, developmental delay, reproductive system damage etc. The safest choice for storing breast milk are glass bottles as it will not react w milk & not treated w harmful chemicals. You can use polypropylene/polyethylene plastic or bpa-free plastic.
