Stent removal: The best way is through cystoscope by a urologist.

Stents: Once a stent is placed, there are only two options for removal. If a string was left attached and is exiting through the urethra, then the stent may be pulled out by means of the string. Otherwise, a flexible cystoscope is necessary to remove the stent. This is usually done in the office.
